Very hardy, with a wide variety of colors and patterns. Though generally peaceful, males may be territorial and bully smaller fish. Males have
a long and pointed dorsal (upper) fin, while the female has a short and rounded dorsal fin. Like Bettas, Gouramis are labyrinth fish, which can
take oxygen directly from the air.
